“It’s a joke we make with my team,” Townsend told reporters. We noticed that some dishes were not seasoned. So I try to sprinkle a little on top to add a little flavor, a little aroma.”

“Yeah, we like things that have a little flavor, a little spice, a little sauce…” she added, requesting the cutscene in question.

“Yes, we will need it and we will certainly release it everywhere!” Leylah added.

Both players will have another chance to round off those celebrations on Sunday when they play the women’s doubles final.

At 124 km/h!

China’s Xinyu Wang and Taiwan’s Su-Wei Hsieh need to watch out as Townsend’s shots have reached 124 kilometers per hour.

“I did push-ups!” laughed the Chicago native. At the beginning of the season I told my coach that I wanted to reach 130 km/h. I’m not far from it. Watch out for the rockets I’m about to send!”
