Former President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva publicly compared himself to Jove from the Pantanal soap opera when he likened his relationship with sociologist Rosângela da Silva, Janja, to one of the main romantic couples on TV Globo’s 9pm soap opera.

During a performance on Wednesday night the 1st in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Lula explained that he and his wife are living a romance like Juma (Alanis Guillen) and Jove (Jesuita Barbosa).

Former President Luís Inácio Lula da Silva and sociologist Rosângela Silva, affectionately known as Janja, were married on the night of May 18 in a ceremony attended by around 200 guests.
At the age of 76, Lula made his third marriage official on the eve of another campaign he will be running for.
The couple lives in São Paulo and adopted a dog named Resistência, who was the mascot of the militants who watched for Lula in front of federal police during his detention in Curitiba.

Janja and Lula started advertising at the end of 2017. She lived in Curitiba and visited the former president once a week at the federal police station.

At the age of 76, Lula was twice widowed. It is the former president’s third marriage.
