Only Ryan Seacrest can make talking to an ex seem easy.
On March 4, the host of iHeartRadio On-Air With Ryan Seacrest had the opportunity to talk to Derek Huff and his sister Julian Huff for their new ABC special. And while some fans – including his co-hosts Sucking and Tanya RadHe may have foreseen some tension between Ryan and his ex-girlfriend, but it just wasn’t.

Despite the skepticism, Julian also confirmed that he remains “friends” with the host of American Idol and that they talk from time to time.
“That’s exactly what I’m saying,” Ryan added. “She feels like me. There’s nothing awkward about that, because we’ve been friends for years and we still are.”

Back in March 2013, E! The news confirmed that Ryan and Julian separated after two years of meeting. At the time, acquaintances said the duo’s busy schedules were too busy.
As for what made the couple reunite on the radio, Julian and her brother promoted their upcoming special program before the Oscars, entitled Step Into… The Movies.
“I am so excited and honored to celebrate these iconic dances in movies,” Julian wrote on Instagram on February 18. “I share with you some of the legendary dances that we have all watched and enjoyed over the years.”
Viewers can expect dances inspired by La La Land, Dirty Dancing, Moulin Rouge and other Hollywood favorites.

As for the chances of Ryan interviewing his ex again, it may be safe to bet. In the end, there is no drama with this friendly couple.
“I love you both,” Ryan said at the end of his interview. “Glad to see you.”
