the American Kouri Richins is accused killed her husband, who was poisoned with high doses of fentanyl an opioid 100 times more potent than morphine. The accusation comes two months after Kouri published the book Are You With Me?, in which she shares how she and her children came to terms with the loss of their father, Eric.
According to the New York Times, the autopsy and toxicology report found that 39yearold Eric Richins had five times the lethal dose of fentanyl in his system. The report also noted that the illegal drug was taken orally.
Eric’s widow even gave interviews to promote the publication of his book, which was published a year after her husband’s death.
“My kids and I wrote this book about the different emotions and grieving processes we’ve experienced over the past year in the hope that it might help other kids deal with it and find happiness in one way or another,” he said Kouri an American television station.

Eric died in the early hours of March 4, 2022. The night before, he and his wife had dinner at home celebrating a sale that Kouri had completed. On this occasion, the widow prepared a drink for her husband.
Kouri later called 911 and claimed her husband felt “chilly.” When rescuers arrived they tried to revive Eric, but he was already dead.
Upon searching the woman’s mobile phone, police found that she had been in contact with a man identified as CL, who has been charged with multiple drugrelated offences.
According to the NYT, CL told investigators that between December 2021 and February 2022, the woman contacted him for help obtaining pain medication. Two weeks later, she called back and asked for something stronger, “some Michael Jackson stuff.”
The man sold 15 to 30 fentanyl pills for $900.
