Wild moment: Masked Philadelphia looters storm the Apple Store in a frenzy – before the tech giant disabled all stolen devices – as police urge the public to help identify crooks

A shocking new video shows dozens of masked looters breaking into an Apple Store in Philadelphia and making off with iPhones and tablets as the city grapples with widespread crime over the past week.

Philadelphia police have released new surveillance camera footage showing brazen thugs rampaging through the Apple Store on Walnut Street in the city center.

Masked thieves forced their way into the store and quickly confiscated iPhones, laptops, tablets and anything within reach on the display racks – completing their looting in less than a minute.

Most of the suspects appeared to be teenagers, including one who boldly walked out carrying a huge television monitor with no sense of urgency.

Police are asking the public for help in identifying five of the suspects.

At least 52 people have been arrested so far, with at least 30 people charged with burglary, theft and other charges as of Saturday, but the number of suspects appears to be higher.

The flash mob-style raid targeted dozens of stores on Tuesday evening, including Foot Locker, Lululemon and Apple.

Earlier footage from the Apple Store shows the aftermath of the looting: iPhones and other electronic devices appear to have been torn from their display stands.

Thieves were outraged a day after the looting when they discovered that Apple had disabled the products they had stolen.

A video posted online showed the moment the alarms on their stolen Apple devices sounded simultaneously.

The looters are then seen pouring a juice-like liquid onto the merchandise as a recording of a girl is heard saying, “Oh my God, this is crazy.”

Footage of the aftermath shows looters bragging about their plan just hours before hitting the stores for a second night of mayhem in Philly.

“What time do we go shopping?” one person said on Instagram hours before his arrest.

“Are we looting or not??!!” wrote another.

Looter Dayjia Blackwell, who livestreamed the Philadelphia robbery and urged others to join in, appeared distraught as police took her mugshot.

She was released on $25,000 bail on Thursday and brazenly pleaded with her fans to pay a lawyer and urged people to buy clothes and hats from her brand.

She hired Mann, who also criticized the media for publishing her mugshot “with tears streaming down her face and disheveled hair.”

Blackwell, meanwhile, uploaded her mugshot as her profile picture on social media and hinted that she may print merchandise with the mugshot.

The thefts and riots stretched from downtown to Northeast and West Philadelphia, leaving behind smashed storefronts and broken storefronts.

According to police, seven cars were stolen from a parking lot in the northeast – one of the cars was recovered on Wednesday afternoon.

Six stores in a single retail corridor in North Philadelphia were looted, including three pharmacies, a hair salon, a tax preparation business and a cell phone store, according to the North 22nd Street Business Corridor, a business group.

Latest figures from last Sunday show there have been 302 murders in the city so far this year.

In addition, 402 rapes, 58,759 cases of property crimes, 3,701 cases of aggravated assault and 1,314 shootings were reported.
