“Wild ‘N Out” star Jacky Oh’s cause of death determined

Jacky Oh, a regular on MTV’s “Wild ‘N Out,” died in May from complications following cosmetic surgery, the Miami-Dade County Medical Examiner’s Office said in its official report released Friday.

Oh, whose real name is Jacklyn Marie Smith, died on the night of May 31st in Miami at the age of 32. Her death was confirmed by BET Media Group at the time, but no further details were released.

According to local media, Smith had undergone cosmetic surgery on his buttocks on May 30 and reported no complications, according to the medical examiner’s report. She was prescribed ciprofloxacin, oxycodone, and ondansetron.

She later complained of a headache and at a post-surgery appointment she was advised to take ibuprofen and to stop taking the anti-nausea medication ondansetron.

On the night of May 31, she complained that her head was burning and she had difficulty speaking, according to the coroner. She became unresponsive before being taken to a local hospital in Miami, where she was pronounced dead in the emergency room at 11 p.m. local time.

According to media reports, Smith had swelling in her brain and bleeding in the skin around her upper body. Her death was ruled an accident.

Smith had three children with her Wild ‘N Out co-star DC Young Fly.
