It comes after Will recently revealed he had “finally paid market value” for Asda’s Elf advert.
The actor rose to international fame playing Buddy in the 2003 Christmas film Elf.
Film and entertainment studio Warner Bros., which owns the rights to Buddy, specifically licensed the popular character for the commercial, which consists of mixed footage from the original film and reshot scenes.

Speaking to Yahoo Entertainment UK, the Step Brothers actor was asked about the brand new Christmas commercial he’s starring in, as he revealed: “Well… it kind of helped me finally get paid market value for it when I was filming Eleven. ”
Will then returned to the ad itself, saying, “I thought it was well done.”
Although Will’s recent performance as Buddy has caused fans of the popular Christmas film to wonder if he would return to the role in a second feature film, the comedian has downplayed expectations.
He remarked: “No, I think that would look odd, a 55-year-old man running around in tights. I think Eleven is a separate entity.’
Everyone smiles: Will claimed he was “finally paid at market value” for Asda’s Christmas Elf advert.
The all-new Christmas advert features Will in a full elf costume when Buddy shows up at an Asda store to stand trial as a seasonal recruit recruited to help out during the busy period leading up to Christmas.
But while brimming with happiness and enthusiasm, Buddy’s trial run is chaotic and sees him taking breaks, chatting with the other Asda staff, hopping around the store and eating the pigs in blankets on display.
Asda’s tempting Christmas range will be on display in-store throughout the ad. After the day is over, Buddy stays longer to make the store even more festive with fairy lights, garlands, gingerbread houses and a giant Christmas tree.
