Will Hearts 3 happen? “Rai has not yet confirmed the third season,” said Simona Coppini in an interview with Fanpage.it. However, the screenwriter of the series, starring Pilar Fogliati, Matteo Martari and Daniele Pecci, explained that an idea for the plot had already been presented. He then revealed the background of the popular Rai1 drama and gave a glimpse of the future of Delia and Alberto.

L’final episode of Hearts 2 It will be broadcast on Sunday, November 5th at 9:30 p.m. on Rai1. The fiction with Pilar Fogliati in the role of Delia Brunello, Matteo Martari in the role of Alberto Ferraris And Daniele Pecci in the role of Cesare Corvara, achieved excellent reviews and stood out for its quality and original way of telling the past of medicine. There Plotborn from the pen of Simona Coppini, Fabrizia Midulla and Leonardo Valenti, is inspired by true story by two luminaries of cardiac surgery: Achille Mario Dogliotti and Angelo Actis Dato. Fans of the series hope to continue following the events of Delia, Alberto and Cesare third season. But Will Hearts 3 happen? Fanpage.it spoke to screenwriter Simona Coppini, who took stock of the future of Hearts, revealed the background of the fiction and explained why it is important not to get lost the finale of the second season: “All stories are open. Everything is in limbo. We behaved quite cleverly or perhaps unpleasantly, considering that insults against the screenwriters are circulating on social media (laughs, editor’s note).” And he continued:

Delia is torn between Alberto and Inspector Giraudo, but seems to be moving in the latter’s direction. Alberto is ready to marry Karen. Meanwhile, Agata is in danger because she has discovered who Elvira’s murderer is. In the season finale, we will find out the reason and dynamics of whether the crime was voluntary or accidental. Is Bino really evil or was he the victim of a series of unfortunate coincidences? Moscow is now in prison. The secret is still open in some respects. We have very strong suspicions, but no proof. And then there is Virginia between Fausto and Helmut. Anna’s health deteriorates from episode to episode. Let’s see what will happen. I have now noticed that fans of the series are clamoring for a third season. Many would like to see a prequel to Alberto and Delia, their story before the events of the first season.

Will there be a third season of Hearts? Has the writing of the new episodes already begun?

We based ourselves on some tips from production and have already presented an idea. But the ideas also change depending on the availability of the actors, depending on their desire to continue. It should be noted that we have not yet received the green light from Rai, the third season is not yet confirmed, I know that for sure.

However, last April, the former CEO of Rai Carlo Fuortes had assured: “We are sure that Cuori 2 will be a success and Cuori 3 will be able to launch, so there is also a commitment for the future.”

Maybe there is an intention, but I think they are waiting for the results to make their decisions. At the moment I can say that a series story has been presented, a concept that illustrates the lines of the main protagonists, but we still don’t know if Hearts 3 will be made, how many episodes there will be and if the actors will give us a confirmation.

If official confirmation arrives, when would Hearts 3 air? In another two years?

Hard to say. Normally, once you get the green light, it takes at least a year to a year and a half from filming to broadcast. The Yes.

The formula of twelve episodes in six episodes seems to me to be ideal for the Cuori series.

I agree. It seems silly, but each subsequent episode is a lot of stuff. You have to articulate the stories and make the most of them in each episode so that they last until the last episode. It’s complicated.

How do you imagine the future of Delia and Alberto in a possible third season?

They will surely love each other forever. There is a bond that, no matter what happens between them, will never break.

The second season of Hearts was received with great enthusiasm. It received excellent reviews and sparked an avalanche of comments on social media. What do you think are the ingredients for this success?

Our characters are human, with their weaknesses, weaknesses, even the most unpleasant ones have flaws that they bring home to us. They are people who make mistakes and try to do their best. Then there is the mystery, which I think always attracts. It came naturally, we didn’t have to strain or distort the characters. Elvira, like Mosca, was a bit bent on self-destruction. One of them looked like he was descending into hell. I also find it interesting to see how medicine used to work: an incredible pioneering freedom, a world to be discovered. For the medical part, we enlisted the advice of cardiac surgeon Guglielmo Actis Dato (son of Angelo Actis Dato, one of the pioneers of cardiac surgery who inspired the series, editor’s note).

How was this advice actually implemented?

Guglielmo Actis Dato accompanied us by the hand, together we selected the interventions and then simplified them. He also went on set to show the actors how to move and how to pass the instruments, because there is a liturgy that we try to respect as much as possible. Because of his extensive experience in the operating room, he tried to imagine how it could work not with the current protocols but with the instruments of the time. He is always very helpful.

Were you inspired by real events for the vertical falls?

Some are real interventions, others are inferences where we referred to cases that were consistent with the theme told in a particular episode. The story of the first Italian pacemaker is also true. Additionally, Helmut’s story is inspired by the story of Hamilton Naki, Professor Christiaan Barnard’s assistant. Naki was not allowed into the operating room in apartheid South Africa because he was black. Based on his story, Helmut was born, a boy who came from East Berlin during those terrible years.

Viewers loved Delia and Alberto’s tortured love story. Why did you decide to keep them separate in season two?

Delia had questioned everything at the end of the first season and we couldn’t pretend that Alberto wasn’t expecting a child with Karen or say, “It doesn’t matter, I don’t love you anyway.” We respected the standards of the time and Alberto’s personality . He is an overly responsible man who always feels the weight of the world on his shoulders. The thought of him leaving a child behind was unthinkable. So we assumed that they should be separated. However, the most difficult challenge was different.

Which?

It was difficult to deal with Delia and not portray her as the woman who wanted to undermine the newly formed family unit. We managed to maintain balance because all sorts of things happen to this poor thing. Apart from the moment of fragility that her mother brings when she throws herself into Alberto’s arms, she always tries to keep her distance. She’s not one to interfere. In order to forget Alberto, she even tries to start a new life with a man she is not in love with.

I imagine he noticed the many fan-made videos of the couple’s most romantic moments on social media.

Yes, and I want to thank them on behalf of all the authors, they are very good. Your videos do justice to the footage, they are moving and touching, very beautiful. We like them very much.
