Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith
This Thursday (19), Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith made their first appearance together in Baltimore after the recent controversies. The actor made a surprise appearance at a talk about the actress’ new memoir, “Worthy.” In addition to his unusual presence, the star shocked the public with a statement to his wife, the Baltimore Banner newspaper reported.
This was Smith and Pinkett’s first appearance together since it was publicly announced that the couple had actually been separated since 2016. According to the medium, the artist took the stage and reflected on life together in a turbulent marriage in an emotional 13minute speech. “I just wanted to come here and hold it for you like you held it for me. We had a [relacionamento] very, very long and turbulent. We call it “bruitful” [‘brutal’ + ‘beautiful’]. It was brutal and beautiful [‘beautiful’, em inglês] at the same time,” he said.
“Our union is a sloppy public experiment. It’s a sloppy public experience of unconditional love. As I stand here before you today, I am happier than I have ever been in my entire life. I have achieved everything I ever wanted in my entire life. “There’s nothing more I want in this world all the awards, all the money, the family everything I’ve ever dreamed of,” Smith added.
He continued, “And those dreams were largely based on Jada’s sacrifices. There were many times when Jada gave up her career so that I could follow my dreams.” Finally, the Oscar winner concluded with a question to the audience: “Can you be present for the rest of your life and love someone even if you don’t agree with them? Jada is the best friend I have ever had on this planet and I will be there for her and support her for the rest of my life.”
According to reports from those in attendance, the actor’s speech was very sincere, which gave Pinkett a quiet smile. In addition to Smith, Willow and Jaden, the duo’s children, and Trey, the result of the artist’s relationship with his exwife Sheree Zampino, attended the event.

Declarations and announcements
Earlier this week, Will Smith sent an open letter to his partner after reading his book. During Jada’s appearance on the podcast “On Purpose with Jay Shetty” this Monday (16), the host read out the star’s words, surprising the actress.
“I applaud and honor you,” Shetty began, quoting Will. “If I had read this book 30 years ago, I would definitely have hugged you even more. “I’m starting now,” he continued while Jada remained serious. However, she didn’t expect what he would say next: “Welcome to the writers’ club.” I love you endlessly. Now go get some Merlot and get some rest.”
At this point, Jada couldn’t hold back any longer and laughed. “He knows I can’t drink Merlot,” he said, laughing. “It was beautiful, that’s why I can’t divorce that clown,” he added. Regard:
Will previously spoke to The New York Times and explained that reading Pinkett’s memoir changed some perceptions. The protagonist of “Um Maluco no Pedaço” said that the work “kind of woken him up.” Smith also emphasized that Jada “has lived a life even more dangerous than she imagined” and that she is “more resilient, intelligent and compassionate than he imagined.”
“When you’ve been with someone for more than half your life, a kind of emotional blindness sets in and you can easily lose sensitivity to hidden nuances and subtle beauties,” he wrote for the outlet. The full statement can be found here.
