Carolyn Smith, the actor’s mother Will SmithShe stated that she was taken by surprise during the actor’s breakdown Oscars 2022which took place last Sunday at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles.

While the minutes of waiting for the best actor mention seemed like an eternity, the octogenarian and the rest of the Smiths witnessed -like millions of people around the world- how his son slapped the actor and comedian Chris Rock after making a GI Jane 2 joke about his wife’s baldness Jada Pinkett-Smithcaused by alopecia.
“He is a very even-tempered, sociable person. This is the first time I’ve seen him leave. For the first time in his life… I’ve never seen him do it like that,” Carolyn Smith told 6ABC.
“I know how he works, how hard he works… I’ve waited and waited and waited. When I heard the name, I just said, ‘Yes!'” he added, around the time he won the trophy for his role in King Richard.
For her part, Will’s younger sister Ellen said she’s always excelled at him under pressure and in the harsh Hollywood spotlight.
“I’ve had conversations with him and it really broke my heart to hear the things he had to say to get where he is.”he pointed out.
Despite everything that happened on Sunday, the Oscar winner’s family gave reassurances that he will take the right path to move forward. “I’m proud that he is him,” Carolyn added.
