The Buffalo Sabers are missing forward Tage Thompson, but fortunately for head coach Don Granato and his players, the wait is over.
The 26-year-old hockey player, who injured his left wrist in the game against the Boston Bruins on November 14th, could play again this week, perhaps as early as Thursday against the Massachusetts club. If he fails to take charge again on this occasion, he risks returning on Saturday evening in the duel against the Montreal Canadiens, which will be broadcast on the TVA Sports channel.

As local radio station WGR 550 AM reports, Thompson’s case is being evaluated daily. Last season he scored 47 goals and as many assists for 94 points in 78 games. He has 12 points in 16 games since the start of the regular calendar.
The American figure skater’s nine-game absence hurt the Sabers, who have a record of 10-13-2, good for 22 points and seventh place in the National League Atlantic Division. On Tuesday they had a meeting with the Detroit Red Wings.
