Last Thursday evening (6), the presenter William Bonner surprised the viewers of Jornal Nacional. The news anchor started the show in an unusual way, leaving many newspaper viewers confused as to the reason for the move.
After the scale (summary of the main topics covered in the newspaper), the camera closed William Bonner, who quickly called for a break. The break lasted almost five minutes. “These are the highlights of this forthcoming issue of Jornal Nacional. See you soon,” the moderator said without giving an explanation.
It’s worth noting that Jornal Nacional usually doesn’t show the commercial break at the beginning of the news. Usually, after the vignette and the highlights of the night, the news is presented in full. From time to time, Rede Globo sells a 30second spot for ads, known as the “golden break.”
On the Internet, many viewers wondered about the unusual way William Bonner Open the National Journal. Many even joked about the story that the presenter had a stomach ache. “Has Bonner given up doing Jornal Nacional?” asked one netizen, putting forward another hypothesis. Check out some memes:
