“After that fake that I would have been hospitalized, now is that I died,” the host recalled, referring to the rumor that he had been hospitalized in critical condition when he covered the newscast from TV Globo left a few years, weeks ago. Just this month, Bonner had already manifested itself due to another craze running around the internet. Just before Carnival, the journalist underwent a small operation in a hospital in Rio de Janeiro, was released the next day and took the opportunity to supplement his license with the holiday break. The message that got through, however, was that the professional’s life was in danger.

“No one contacted me to verify the accuracy of the gossip before the clickbait was released. If they had, they would have known that on February 10th I underwent a laparoscopy to repair a hernia. It wasn’t yesterday, it was nine days ago. And everything happened as expected for cases like this. No urgency, no rush. So nothing “on the fly”. The next day, Saturday, February 11, I was already at home,” Bonner clarified in an Instagram post.

Finally, the presenter explained how he recovered from the quick hospitalization. “I took a leave of absence from work because the procedure requires a few days’ rest and my bosses advised me to make up for it with a carnival break. It was good because my belly button kept reminding me it existed. I’m fine, thanks.” On Wednesday (22nd) Bonner was back behind the counter of the “Jornal Nacional”. Check it out in full:
