Guilherme de Pádua recorded a video in August asking forgiveness from author Gloria Perez for the murder of her daughter Daniella Perez. In the video posted to his YouTube channel, the former actor explained that asking for forgiveness for the crime was “his biggest dream” but that he “didn’t know how to do it.”
“I thought about looking for the lawyers of Raul Gazella (actor and Daniella’s exhusband) and Gloria Perez. I thought of asking someone to mediate this meeting. I couldn’t think of anything on the internet and through a video .(. ..) I may never have a real opportunity to ask for forgiveness,” he said.
“Gloria Perez, I ask your forgiveness for all the harm I have caused you. I have never forgotten the meeting in prison. Raúl Gazella, I beg your pardon. I have never forgotten the day I was called to the police station. You were there and dragged yourself to me. hugged me while weeping. And that’s when I saw that I’m the worst person in the world,” he added.
Padua extended the apology to other family members. “My apologies to the family, friends and everyone who was saddened and outraged by this story. I know this apology might mean nothing, but I want to hold onto it,” he reasoned.
Guilherme de Padua died of a heart attack at the age of 53. The news of the death was published by Pastor Marcio Valadão on Sunday. The leader of the Lagoinha Baptist Church gave details of his friend’s recent visit to the church.
After 15 years of conversion, he became a pastor of the Evangelical Church in 2017. The ceremony took place in Belo Horizonte, where he lived with his wife, makeup artist Juliana Lacerda. The former actor used his experiences in prison to speak about Christian life after the world of crime. He also cared for exconvicts and did evangelism work.
Guilherme de Pádua and his thenwife Paula Tomaz murdered actress Daniela Perez with scissors on December 28, 1992. Five years after the crime, they were sentenced to 19 years and six months in prison for aggravated manslaughter. The sentence was then reduced to six years.

In the first video he spoke about factions in Brazilian prisons. In another, entitled “Now he’s become a saint, right? (bandit turned believer!)”, Guilherme preaches about the criminal who regenerated and became a Christian.
“I have been in contact with prisons for 26 years. Seven years in prison, another 19 in projects. (…) In the church I attend, I know dozens of people who were criminals and are changing their lives because they have become believers. In this way, the Church provides a very favorable environment for people who tend to do wrong things. The culture is: We must do the right thing. Because in everyone who begins to believe in Christ, there is this feeling that there is a God within me, and that God forgives my sins, throws them into the sea of oblivion and remembers them no more.
You see what a stroke of luck for someone who has done a lot wrong: this forgiveness, this opportunity to start anew. Who doesn’t want to say: Hey, can I start over, get another chance? And more: if I efface myself from this God, enter into a covenant with him, he has a covenant with me and eternal life awaits me,” Guilherme said in the video: “I no longer live, but Christ lives in me”. .
