Wilson Cabral, Masterchef Professionals 2022 semifinalist, dies aged 40

Wilson Cabral is survived by his wife Simone and their 9yearold son Arthur.

The cook and participant of the program master chef professionals 2022, Wilson Cabral NunesHe died this Friday, 21, at the age of 40, victim of a car accident in Sorocaba. The cook had been in the hospital since July 14. Information about the death was reported by family members on their social network. “It is with a heavy heart that I come here to inform you of Wilson’s death. Unfortunately, its time to please you with wonderful food and dishes is over. I’m shocked but so happy to have been a part of his life for 11 years. Now it’s about trusting God and believing that all he left behind will serve as a pride for the son he loved so much. Thank you for all the messages,” his wife Simone wrote in an Instagram post. Wilson was married and also the father of 9yearold Arthur. Born in Rio de Janeiro, the former MasterChef was a food specialist from the southern United States, where he lived for six years growing up.

The semifinalist of the reality gastronomy show was eliminated by contestant Diego Sacilotto, champion of the 2022 season. After the show ended, Wilson opened a restaurant specializing in ribs in Sorocaba, inland from São Paulo. On Instagram, Sacilotto paid tribute to his colleague: “You will be in me forever!” We know how much I owe you and I am grateful to you! You have softened this world with love, affection and loyalty. Thanks very much! You will be greatly missed.” Information about the funeral was not released as of this writing.
