The Windows 11 Snipping Tool gets a major update. It unfolds through the Moment 2 update proposed for a few days. The application can now record what is happening on the screen.

Now, the screen capture tool offers that advancement through a convenient and quick approach. Microsoft tries to make the process as easy as possible. For example, we have a specific key combination to launch the utility. It’s “WIN + SHIFT + S”.

We’re continuing to expand the capabilities of this fan-favorite app, so now you can easily capture, save and share your creations – all right within the app. To use the screen recording feature, you can find and launch the Snipping Tool via Search in the taskbar and select Record. Your screenshots are now automatically saved to a default folder, so you don’t have to worry about losing them.

With this important update, the snipping tool regains interest and is equipped with a feature appreciated by many. It also allows responding positively to a request from the Windows community.

Regarding “Moment 2”, it is currently necessary to manually trigger the download and installation by going to Windows Update. Next Patch Tuesday, the process will go into automatic mode.
