In the latest build of Windows 11 23H2, Microsoft has integrated a new section for managing system apps in its settings. As with the application, it is possible to uninstall this software or view certain information about it. The function is still being tested.

Uninstalling an application on Windows is theoretically quite easy. We go to Settings, select the software you want to remove and then click Uninstall. However, it can quickly become difficult to use if you have a certain number of applications on your PC. Especially since Windows doesn’t exactly make the task easy with its considerable amount of more or less useful bloatware.
Microsoft is obviously aware of this, as a new Settings section has just appeared in the latest version of Windows 11 for Insiders. Baptized System components (System Components in Shakespearean language) seems to work just like its big sister Applicationsdisplays the list of all system applications on the user’s PC.
Microsoft is testing better management of system apps in Windows 11
This new page does not replace the section applications, but rather completes it – so you can do a little tidying up along the way. Specifically, it is nothing more and nothing less than an associated section in which all applications, extensions and other codes installed on the PC that are considered “system” under Windows are stored.

In other words: If you want to manage an application that you know is associated with Windows, e.g. For example, the screenshot tool or calculator, you just need to go to this tab to find it. While we don’t yet know when this new feature will make its way into a stable release, Microsoft seems committed to delivering it. Proof of this is the addition of additional details, such as the mention of system components in the Start menu as well as in the Microsoft Store, which allow for better differentiation.
