“Wings”, “Lois and Clark” star Fara Fork has died at the age of 54

“Wings” and “Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman” actress Fara Fork has died. She was 54.

A friend confirmed to Variety on Wednesday that she died on February 25 at her home in Texas from cancer.

“Farah was fierce, gentle, loyal, loving, strong, funny, smart, protective, kind, passionate and irreplaceable,” they told the Hollywood Reporter. “She brought so much light into the world that even after her death the light remains.”

Fork starred in seasons 4, 5 and 6 of the NBC sitcom. The show aired from 1990 to 1997 and was created by legendary Cheers and Fraser writers David Angel, Peter Casey and David Lee.

She played Desert Storm veteran and helicopter pilot Alex Lambert. She was the love interest of the characters Joe (Tim Daly) and Brian Hackett (Stephen Weber).

She later starred as a lawyer for Mason Drake in Season 2 of Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman.

She appears in other iconic projects such as Ned and Stacey, Mr. Rhodes, The Party of Five, Revelation, Heat, and Batman Beyond.

Fork was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, and later moved to Manhattan to study at the prestigious Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute.

After becoming the parent of her twin sons Chuck and Whit Fork, she took a step back from Hollywood.

Fork is also survived by her mother and stepfather Beverly and Chuck Talmage, as well as her three sisters Paige Inglis, Jennifer Sailor and Maggie Talmage. A personal funeral was held for her by close family, friends and relatives.

Her family is asking for donations from the American Cancer Society instead of flowers.
