Winner of the Kalush Orchestra Music Competition Back to Ukraine

After winning the Eurovision Song Contest in Turin, the Kalush Orchestra group returned to Ukraine. The six men briefly sang their hit “Stefania” at the border control, as public television showed yesterday in a short video on Telegram.

Later, there was another performance and an autograph session with young fans at a gas station behind the Ukrainian-Polish border near Krakow.

On Saturday, the band clearly won the European music contest based on the public vote. The victory is also taken as a sign of solidarity.

Meanwhile, pro-Russian activists accused the band of being close to fascism. Rapper Oleh Psjuk is said to have displayed his right-wing attitude on stage at the song contest. But the video sequences distributed with the indictment are edited in a manipulative way.
