After shaving her hair for cancer treatment, Susana Naspolini posted a photo online of herself having fun trying on wigs. Between longer and shorter strands, blonde or brunette, the TV Globo journalist even asked her followers for their opinion on which one suits her best.
“Friends, what do you think of this wig? The one on my head, did you like it? Kisses,” Susana wrote.
Friends and fans left affectionate messages that in no way emphasized the beauty of the reporter. At 49, Susana is in the middle of her fifth treatment for pelvic cancer, which she was diagnosed with in 2020. She speaks openly about the issue and has taken to social media to raise awareness and comfort to others suffering from the condition.
The journalist decided to shave her hair as she often saw it fall out. In the video, she got emotional. And I wanted to convey the image that people need to take care of what really matters: healing and affection.
“I’ll clean up the parlor. Some holes are from hair that has already fallen out,” Susana said, showing what she called “rat’s nests,” and then hugging her daughter through tears in her eyes: “That’s it (the affection), that’s important. Let’s move on, kisses. Bald head. Oh how strange. Strange but necessary. Nobody wants. Thanks for the support. We will make it. “
