The crime and thriller series “Black Lake” de Club illico is moving to the ADDIK channel, where the first episode will be broadcast on April 3rd.
Mélissa Désormeaux-Poulin plays Valérie, a local police officer who is dispatched to the region to help Adrien (Stéphane Demers), the police chief of Lac-Noir, in Laurentians. It’s about a local police officer mysteriously disappearing without a trace. Very early on she measured the uniqueness of the sector in which she settled for the summer with her son Dave (Anthony Therrien).
Valérie wonders at clues she discovers, as well as intriguing symbols and pentagrams. Not to mention that enforced disappearances are on the rise in the village. So what’s going on at Lac-Noir?
Also in season one are Andreas Apergis, Marcelo Arroyo, Laurie Babin, Louise Cardinal, Normand D’Amour, Louis-Philippe Dandeneault, Marc Fournier, Étienne Lou, Isabelle Miquelon, Isabelle Nélisse and Pierre-Alexis St-Georges, and Victor Andrés Trelles to see Turgeon.
Note that Adrien Morot, a Montreal-based special effects makeup specialist who just won an Oscar in Hollywood for his work on Darren Aronofsky’s film The Whale, brought his expertise to bear on the set of Black Lake.
Filming for the second version is scheduled to begin in a few days. In the meantime, this is an opportunity to watch or re-watch the first season directed by Frédérik D’Amours from a screenplay co-written by Charles Dionne and Martin Girard.
Produced by Pixcom in partnership with Quebecor Media, Lac-Noir will air on ADDIK beginning Monday, April 3 at 9 p.m.
