The actor José Loreto, who enjoys the great success of the “Pantanal” soap opera with his character Thaddeus, reveals that he is doing everything possible to avoid controversy. However, he was involved in some and commented on their impact, including the affair with singer Gabi Martins.

“I didn’t want people looking up my name on the internet to be associated with gossip. The notoriety of my characters speaks more than me, the artist. When asked, I chose not to comment. I never resorted to what I said, they already made up a whole story that I denied and changed the speech. I never denied it, I just didn’t reveal it. When she spoke, I confirmed it because I had no reason to lie either,” she said in an interview with Patricia Kogut from the newspaper O Globo.

Recently, a photo of the actor next to Jesuíta Barbosa, in which they can be seen both naked and with their buttocks exposed, also became a topic of discussion online. Speaking of the impact, Loreto said: “It was a situation that could have led to controversial comments, but in the end it turned into something constructive. It’s two asses, two people, showering and playing together. Humans are the ones who sexualize everything.”

However, the detail that caught the attention of netizens and caused even more comments was a device used by José: a blood glucose sensor, a device used to measure the level of glucose in the body. The actor, who was diagnosed with diabetes, took the opportunity to comment on the condition.

“This diabetes universe is full of taboos and prejudices, so it’s nice to break with that thought. It’s nice when a simple picture of you, how you were born, generates parallel themes like this. This is also one of the functions of our work. […] I think what we can say is important. Diabetes is a subject close to my heart, so I felt it was very valid,” he concluded.
