The Peruvian team announced the final list of those selected with foreign players for the matches against Chile and Argentina for the 2026 South American qualifiers. Juan Reynoso named 31 footballers aiming for six points against La Roja and Albiceleste, with the aim of picking up his first wins in the competition. There are some surprises among those drafted, such as the inclusion of Franco Zanelatto.
The player, who plays for Alianza Lima, has finally made it to the final squad and could make his senior debut. It will depend on Juan Reynoso when he gives the 23-year-old playing time. Let us remember that Zanelatto was pursued by Paraguay, but the attacker chose to defend the colors of Peru.

Another surprise was the inclusion of the Sport Boys’ top scorer in League 1: the young Fabrizio Roca. At just 21 years old, the pink team player won the trust of Juan Reynoso and will be part of the Peruvian delegation for the 2026 South American qualifiers.

The last surprise in the squad was the inclusion of André Carrillo, Oliver Sonne and Santiago Ormeño. The “Culebra” could be considered by the “Cabezón” despite suffering an injury weeks ago with his club Al-Qadisiya. The Danish full-back of Peruvian descent could make his debut with the Bicolor and in the case of “Ormedeus”, the attacker returns to the Blanquirroja after a year, although he has not had any contact with the national technical command.
