Woman fakes her own kidnapping for dropping out of college

The Pennsylvania State Police in the United States are investigating a strange case that happened recently. According to authorities, a 23yearold woman faked her own kidnapping to cover up her college dropout.

The accused is Chloe Stein, 23, who decided to drop out of school shortly before graduating from high school. To avoid the family’s judgment, she allegedly faked her own kidnapping.

Chloe was arrested last Tuesday (2) and will stand trial for the crimes of false alarm to a public safety agency, false report, administrative obstruction and disorderly conduct.

The case began when Chloe’s boyfriend contacted the girl’s family after being unable to reach them for the past few days. The former student’s family then called the police and a largescale manhunt was launched.

Shortly after the search began, Chloe Stein’s car was found abandoned on Radebaugh Road near North Greengate Road, leaving her family and boyfriend distraught and police on high alert.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police Department, an extensive search effort was made, including the use of helicopters and sniffer dogs in the area where the young woman’s car was found.

After a long search, police arrived at a home in the town of Jeannette, also in Pennsylvania, where they found Chloe Stein completely safe and at ease. The young woman was then taken to the nearest police station for questioning.

When questioned by officers, Chloe said she was taken to the Jeannette home by a man dressed as a police officer and that he was carrying a firearm. The woman also said the kidnapper blindfolded her and took her on the way to the property.

However, Chloe’s version was challenged by parallel investigations which suggested the young woman had dropped out of her course at Penn State University, raising suspicions.

“We found out she hadn’t been to college for a while, about two years. She was about to graduate when she dropped out,” police said in a statement to local press.

When finally confronted with these facts, Chloe admitted that she dropped out of college and therefore faked the situation to evade the judgment of her family and friends.

“The fact that it seems she hasn’t been to school for so long and may have been letting people down was what prompted her action,” police said.

The Pennsylvania Police Department investigation is now returning to find out if Chloe Stein was helped in faking the kidnapping by anyone and who the house she was staying in was.

The young woman will face a custody hearing on May 25. If you receive a positive verdict from the judge in the case, you are free to respond to the proceedings.
