Recently, after the publication of a video on YouTube in 2013, a controversial situation related to the theft of a dog erupted again. It shows a woman from Richmond, London taking a man’s dog with her. Surprisingly, she justified her actions by claiming that the man abused the animal.
The man in turn posted the video with the following description:
“I was carrying my baby and my dog was tied up outside a supermarket for a few minutes. When I left, this woman concluded that I was abusing my dog just because he approached her to pet her.”
The video in question shows the woman walking away from the man with the dog in her arms. The man reported the woman expressed her intention to keep the dog by saying, “Now I’m going to keep my dog.”
Woman stole pet from owner because he already had a baby
In the videocaptured incident, the woman can be seen taking off the dog’s collar and claiming the man stole her pet.
The man in turn explains that the woman slandered him and accused him of trying to steal the dog. This perceived unfair accusation could explain why the woman decided to remove the dog’s collar, possibly to make identification more difficult.
The case raises questions about interpersonal conflict and the importance of clear and respectful communication in resolving disputes.
In addition, the woman committed an even more disturbing act by threatening to take away the man’s baby and saying she would contact child protection services.
She made the provocative remark that he had to choose between his dog and his son. Those words can be heard in the video as the woman says, “Dog or child, you can’t have both.”
By a happy coincidence, his apparently odd behavior was noticed by the people around, who stepped in to help the man repossess his dog. The woman dropped the animal and fled the scene of the accident. Both the dog and the baby are safe now.
It is unfortunate that pet theft is becoming increasingly common in the United States. According to Chewy, a pet products company, dog theft cases have increased by at least 30% since 2021.
