Mühldorf am Inn (dpa/lby) – A mother of two young children was killed in a violent crime in Mühldorf am Inn. The woman’s 33-year-old ex-partner allegedly attacked the 35-year-old woman in front of her home and seriously injured her with stitches, police said on Monday. Neighbors immediately rushed to the woman’s aid on Sunday night and called emergency services. The 33-year-old man initially fled.
Several emergency services attended to the woman and her two young children, who were still in the house. Despite all the efforts of the attending physicians, according to the police, any help for the victim came too late. The woman died in a hospital that night. The alleged perpetrator had fled to the home of family members, but was reportedly arrested there on Sunday night without resistance. An arrest warrant was issued against him on Monday, after which the German was taken to prison.
The victim’s children were housed and cared for by family members in coordination with the youth social assistance office. According to the police, no information can be given about the motive and other background of the crime for investigative reasons.
