Courtney Monteith’s story went viral on social media when she shared her awkward experience with one tattoo sketch which cost a total of R$ 12,800. She dreamed of tattooing a fox surrounded by flowers on her arm, but was disappointed with the quality of the design and abandoned the project.

Courtney contacted Lindsay Joseph, a wellknown tattoo artist and owner of Lucid Tattoos, to request a design. She was moved and sent references and ideas to the artist. However, the creative process did not go as expected and the client was disappointed with the result.

Not happy with the situation, Courtney decided to share her experience on TikTok, and the video quickly went viral. The young woman’s account was seen by more than 5 million people. He revealed that he didn’t expect such a reaction and just wanted to share his frustration with his friends.

Lack of communication

In the video, Courtney praised the tattoo artist’s work, but mentioned that she paid US$180 (R$900) for a virtual meeting to discuss the tattoo. Lindsay offered three package options, the cheapest costing $1,500 (R$7,400) with the ability to request the change. The customer chose this option because he was convinced of an excellent result.

Lindsay, on the other hand, said that if Courtney wanted a different model, she would have to pay the difference in the $3,500 (R$17,000) package and accused her of not providing clearer instructions.
