An Airbnb hotel in central Texas has gone viral on TikTok for the many rules posted around the home.
Becky Navarro, 40, rented the six-bedroom property in Wimberley, Texas for a May weekend with her family and some friends. She was shocked to find signs with rules all over the house.
“Until we arrived, we had no idea about the rules,” Navarro told the New York Post, claiming the $2,000-a-night rental had “no online directions.”
Navarro says reviews of furniture and appliances had a big impact on the quality of their vacation.
“Is there a limit to the number of rules that can be displayed in an Airbnb?” she asked in her video, which has racked up more than 4 million views on TikTok since it was posted in late June.
The two-minute video features full-page laminated signs and labels warning against touching fragile goods, moving decorations and being careful with furniture.
Some of the notes, such as telling tenants where to find cleaning supplies or how to use the microwave, were understandable, while others made Navarro wonder why the owners had rented the property in the first place.
“It seemed like every room and every surface had a rating with a new rule,” Navarro told the US medium. “It almost felt like it wasn’t a vacation because there were so many rules.”
