Woman seriously injured after being bitten in the head by a shark in Australia .com

A 32yearold woman was seriously injured after an accident this Friday (10). Shark attack at Port Noarlunga Jetty in South Australia. According to emergency services, the victim was bitten in the head.

A South Australian Police spokesman said the injuries were “serious” and the woman was taken to a local hospital. Nevertheless, there is no risk of death for them.

In a statement, police said the beach was cleared to locate the shark, but officers were unable to locate the sea creature. Since then, the public has been allowed to swim in the waters there.

“Police, assisted by other emergency services, evacuated the water while a search for the shark was carried out,” police said. “Members of the public have since returned to the water after search efforts failed to locate the shark.”

Friday’s incident came less than two weeks after 55yearold surfer Tod Gendle died after being attacked by a great white shark in Streaky Bay off the west coast of South Australia.

It was the second fatal incident on the Eyre Peninsula this year after 43yearold teacher Simon Baccanello was attacked by a shark on Walker Rock Beach near Elliston.
