A woman went viral after revealing an “easy” and “realistic” way to train yourself to get up early – just by scrolling your phone.
Dani Schenone, a marketing manager and yoga teacher from California, recently posted a video on TikTok describing a “hack” she came up with to help her get up in the wee hours.
Her method, which she stressed “changed her life,” inspired awe from many people online. One viewer branded it “brilliant” and another called it the “best advice you’ve ever heard.”
According to Dani, she used to have a hard time getting up early. But she started setting her alarm an hour before the start of her day — and that changed everything.

She used the time to check her phone, which made getting up a lot easier.
“You suck at getting up early, but you won’t suck anymore.” You want to know why? Because you have me,” she began on her Tiktok, which has been viewed more than 8.5 million times.

“I used to be bad at waking up early too, but here’s what you’re going to do.” As soon as your alarm wakes you up, I want you to answer your phone.
“I know people say that the worst thing to do is answer the phone first thing in the morning, but we know you do it. So why not use it to your advantage?”
“Pick up your phone, do whatever you want on your phone for an hour, then get ready for work or your day.”
The California native explained that doing this will help you develop a habit of getting up early because then you can do something you enjoy — rather than rushing to work and getting ready for work right away.
“The brain is a rebellious little thing and you have to treat it like a child. So how do you get a child to do something?” “Positive reinforcement,” she continued.
“What do we all like to do? Be on our phones – so use this to your advantage.”

Dani added that once getting up early feels more “manageable,” you can use that time to do more productive things instead.
“Then you can start by imagining the things you want to do in the morning, like take a yoga class, go to the gym, or go for a walk or read a book,” she concluded.
In a follow-up video, the head of marketing explained that it took her two weeks of morning sitting on the phone to get used to waking up early.
She added that because of her hour-long screen time, she doesn’t lose sleep because she went to bed earlier.
“As soon as I woke up earlier, I went to bed earlier because I was so, so, exhausted. “Getting up early became very easy,” she explained.
“This hack allowed me to now get up at 5:30am, go to a yoga class at 6am, and after that yoga class start my day with a better mental state, mood, and attitude.”

“That’s 1000 percent true.” “I woke up early and was staring at TikTok. A few months later I now go to the gym at 6am,” one person wrote.
‘It worked. THAT’S ALL IT TAKES?’ said another stunned user.
Another added, “This is so smart.” Because as soon as I scroll, I’m totally alert. Genius.’
“That’s actually the most realistic advice,” says a fourth comment.
A fifth said: “Oh my god thanks.” “That’s how I wake myself up and everyone says it’s a bad habit but it’s the only way I can pull myself together so I do it.”
