The man who allegedly tied a woman to a tree made a Myers-style request at the Sherbrooke courthouse on Wednesday, a request for a review of his detention that would allow him to regain his freedom while he awaits his trial was waiting.

Last August, Judge Danielle Côté initially refused to grant Luc St-Pierre conditional release.
Cowansvilleis, 52, has been in custody since his arrest last July.
Luc St-Pierre is alleged to have tied a woman to a tree and then attacked her in a wooded area on Rue Achille Barrière in Sherbrooke.
A probation officer who carried out an assessment of his dangerousness explained the findings of her report on Wednesday, which found he posed a real danger to the alleged victim and other women.

Luc St-Pierre has a history of violence.
Before Judge Conrad Chapdelaine, the defendant agreed to respect several conditions, such as that he would then live with his sister and a pastor friend, not to stay in the region where the complainant lived and, if necessary, even an anti -Weared reconciliation bracelet.
