Women’s hockey: a fourth straight setback for the Force

The Buffalo Beauts won 3-1 at the home of the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada.

The problems of Peter Smith’s roster on offense continued. In her last four appearances, each of which ended in defeat, she has only scored one goal per game.

The Professional Hockey Federation’s highest paid player, Mikyla Grant-Mentis, was the star of the day’s duel. She opened the scoring outnumbered and later completed her double in the first third.

Kristina Schuler also hit the mark for the Beauts, the only team behind the Force overall.

Jade Downie-Landry provided the replica for the Montreal team. The hosts’ other 31 shots were blocked by an in-form Samantha Ridgewell.

For her part, Tricia Deguire gave up three times in 27 attempts.

La Force will have the opportunity to take revenge again against the Beauts in Boisbriand on Sunday.
