One of five works by Dominican plastic artist Ramón Oviedo was sold at an auction by Doyle Auction House in New York for $35,000.
Omar Molina, president of the Ramón Oviedo Foundation and grandson of the artist; and Luis Felipe Cartagena, owner and director of the Shanell Art Gallery, provided the information and made it clear that this is a valuable point that Dominican art scores on the international stage.
