A worker on a luxury yacht has revealed the stranger side of an employee working for billionaires.
According to Metro UK, 39yearold Giselle Azueta started working in the industry, pointing out that she was “well paid” but “perfunctory” as they only hire people who look young and beautiful.
Although the job was stressful, Giselle loves the sea and travel, and working as a crew member on luxury yachts brought her two passions together.
Still, she admitted that she faced some strange requests during her time at sea.
“Once a guest, a multimillionaire, made a crew member $10,000 to defecate on a glass table while lying underneath,” she recalls.
“Another guest requested that one of the hostesses watch him throughout the dinner, and the hostess had to stand in the corner of the dining room and watch him eat,” he added.
She also said yacht workers should never use the word “no” unless the request was sexual in nature or endangered the health or life of the crew.
“Any request, no matter how weird, crazy or outlandish, it is our duty to fulfill it,” she said.
Giselle is currently in charge of event planning and takes care of the administration and bookkeeping of the yacht.
“I’m responsible for all purchases for crew, guest wish list, guest decorating and purchasing amenities,” she said.
She believes the sights and the opportunity to meet people from all over the world make the work worthwhile.
