As part of the celebration of World Science Day for Peace and Development, the head of state called from his X account to join forces to promote science and overcome challenges.

For a better world, for a world of peace, he wrote in his message, accompanied by the hashtag #UnidosXCuba.

“Scientific research and development is the foundation of our government strategies to build a better country. Let us join forces to advance science and overcome the challenges we face together. For a better world, for a world of peace.”

On the same social network, Elba Rosa Perez Montoyathe Cuban Minister of Science, Technology and Environment, explained that the purpose of the celebration on this occasion was to “instill confidence in science.”

He explained that Cuba is an example of this practice, as reflected in government policies, results and contributions of the recognized scientific community.

“Today we celebrate #WorldScienceDay for Peace and Development, this year with the goal: “Building trust in science.” #Cuba is an example of this practice, reflected in government policies, results and contributions from the recognized scientific community.”

Roberto Morales Ojeda, Politburo member and organizing secretary of the PCC Central Committee, recalled in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

“Only peace and no genocide,” added Morales Ojeda, referring to the current escalation in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and accordingly added the hashtags #CubaPorLaPaz #FreePalestine to his publication.

“Today is World Science Day for Peace and Development. “Doctors and no bombs, just peace and no genocide.”

World Science Day for Peace and Development has been celebrated around the world since 2002 to commemorate the commitment made at the World Science Conference held in Budapest in 1999 under the auspices of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization and the International Council for Science.

Its purpose is to renew the commitment to science in the service of peace and development, both nationally and internationally, and to emphasize the responsible use of science for the benefit of societies, in particular for the eradication of poverty.
