Two World War II planes collided and hit the ground during an air show in Dallas this Saturday, US authorities said, who have not yet received a casualty tally. A Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress bomber and a Bell P-63 KingCobra fighter collided in flight around 1:20 p.m. (8:20 p.m. Paris), the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said in a statement.
“At this point we do not know how many people were on board,” added the FAA, which is launching an investigation.

Witnesses have posted videos of the crash, showing one of the planes appearing to break apart before hitting the ground.

The Dallas Executive Airport, located about ten kilometers south of the Texas metropolis, spoke on Twitter of an “incident” during a show of military aircraft from the 1940s, which was organized as part of the long holiday weekend at the end of November 11th.
The fire department said they were sent to the scene. However, no further information was available at this time.
