WTA: Special prize for Gabriela Dabrowski

Canadian tennis player Gabriela Dabrowski has received the WTA’s 2022 Peachy Kellmeyer Award.

The 30-year-old from Ottawa received this honor for the third time in her career. His support for other WTA athletes as well as initiatives led by the professional circuit. Dabrowski was also honored in 2019 and 2020; That year, all members of the WTA Players’ Council had received the award.

In 2021, the honor went to the American Kristie Ahn. Past recipients include Venus Williams, Kim Clijsters, Chris Evert and Lucie Safarova. The award bears the name of a former player who was the first director in the history of the Virginia Slims Circuit, now the WTA.
