Since the beginning of the so-called WWE Women’s Revolution, the most well-known company in the wrestling world has been offering increasingly challenging matches for women, which were previously only reserved for male colleagues. From the legendary Royal Rumble to the Elimination Chamber match, all major matches are now fought without too much trouble, even by WWE wrestlers when it once seemed like there were neither the numbers nor the technical skills to achieve effective parity between the genders.
In that regard, the Japanese wrestler scored a historic hat trick with Asuka’s victory in tonight’s Elimination Chamber match. She is actually the first woman in history to win the Elimination Chamber Match, the Royal Rumble (2018), and the Money in the Bank Ladder Match (2020).
This is no small record considering WWE has been offering these matches for a number of years and even among men there are very few wrestlers who can boast of this record and they are among the greatest wrestlers of all time in the recent history of the WWE company. Let’s talk about John Cena, Randy Orton, Brock Lesnar and Edge. No one else has ever managed this feat, not even victorious and at times dominant wrestlers like Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns or Daniel Bryan, who also had multiple wins.
