WWE legend Tammy Sytch has been sentenced to 17 years in prison for her role in a car crash that killed a 75-year-old man.
It comes three months after she pleaded no contest to the charges against her – including a charge of drunk driving resulting in death.
Sytch, 50, also known as WWE Hall of Famer Sunny, was driving a sedan in March 2022 when she crashed into a vehicle driven by Julian Lasseter that was stopped at a red light near Ormond Beach, Florida.
Police said her blood alcohol level was about three times the legal limit. She has been behind bars since March 2022.
She faces a prison sentence of ten and a half years for driving with a revoked license and causing death and a further seven years for negligent homicide under the influence of alcohol. She also received eight years of probation and her driver’s license was permanently revoked.

According to TMZ, she addressed the victim’s family in the courtroom, where she appeared in an orange jumpsuit, saying, “I know my words are not enough, but please know that I think about you every day .”
The 50-year-old appeared in the courtroom in handcuffs and apparently burst into tears during her speech.
She has been behind bars before. She served 114 days in prison in Connecticut in 2013 after she was arrested for assaulting her boyfriend and then violating probation.
During this initial time in prison, she was diagnosed with cervical cancer and received treatment in prison.
In 2019, a warrant was issued for her arrest in February of that year and she was arrested in New Jersey later that month. She spent a year in prison for drunk driving and other traffic offenses.
When she was released, she turned to OnlyFans to make money and had previously turned to the adult entertainment industry professionally – in 2016 she starred in the erotic film Sunny Side Up.
She was in the WWE from 1994 to 1998. She was introduced to the wrestling industry by her long-time friend Chris Candido, who died in 2005.
