NXT held Deadline on Saturday evening.

Shawn Michaels opened Deadline and came to the ring. He welcomed us to the show and said it was WWE's last live premium event of the year.





CM Punk's music then hit and he came to the ring wearing a Calgary Hitmen t-shirt. HBK brought it up and Punk said, “Hey, you and Bret Hart made up and Triple H and I made up.” They posed for a selfie. Punk raised the question of where he could sign, be it Raw, SmackDown or NXT. He got the crowd chanting his name while hugging HBK and ended the segment.

Dragon Lee defeats Dominik Mysterio to become the new North American champion. Mysterio Sr. sat at the commentary table and celebrated with Lee after the win.

Blair Davenport is the winner of the Iron Survivor Challenge and the challenger for the Women's Championship in New Years Evil. After the fight, Lyra Valkyria appears to face Blair, but is attacked by Cora Jade, who lets her return to NXT.

Carmelo Hayes defeated Lexis King.

Trick Williams is the winner of the Men's Iron Survivor Challenge and the challenger for the NXT Championship at New Years Evil.





Kiana James defeats Roxanne Perez in a cage match with help from Izzy Dame.

Ilja Dragunov retains the NXT Championship against Baron Corbin. After the fight, Williams came out to watch, followed by Carmelo, ending the show.
