The NXT roster presented its “No Mercy 2023” PLE on Saturday, September 30th at the Mechanics Bank Arena in Bakersfield, California. The show aired exclusively on the WWE Network.
Single game
Kelani Jordan vs. Blair Davenport
At the end of the match, Blair Davenport used a Falcon Arrow on Kelani Jordan and won by pinfall.
Winner: Blair Davenport
WWE NXT No Mercy Bakersfield, California
Commentators are Vic Joseph and Booker T.
– Tonight is WWE NXT No Mercy, the special show begins with the opening video. Bron Breakker then appears in the first match of the main show. Baron Corbin then arrives on a motorcycle, but Breakker starts attacking him! The two wrestlers fight in the crowd and then return to the ring. The referee rings the bell.
Single game
Bron Breakker vs. Baron Corbin
At the end of the match, Baron Corbin sends Bron Breakker through the announce table, but Breakker gets up and then spears him! The two wrestlers get back in the ring, we see Robert Stone on the top rope and he jumps on Bron Breakker, who catches him and throws him to ring security. Baron Corbin takes the opportunity to do his End of Days on Breakker, followed by the pinfall to win.
Winner: Baron Corbin
NXT North American Championship – Singles Match
Dragon Lee will be the special referee for the match.
Dominik Mysterio (c) against Trick Williams
At the end of the match, Trick Williams dodges a superkick from Dominik Mysterio and it’s Dragon Lee who delivers it! Mysterio sends Williams to the corner, he dodges and then hits a neckbreaker followed by the pinfall… a new referee arrives too late. Dominik Mysterio gets up from the pin and the match continues.
Dominik Mysterio runs towards the ropes but knocks out the second referee on his way. He attempts a frog splash on Trick Williams, but he avoids it and gets the pinfall, except there is no referee present. Williams wants to relieve Dragon Lee while Mysterio goes for his belt.
Trick Williams dodges a punch from Dominik Mysterio with the belt and then performs a jumping knee on the champion, followed by the pinfall. Dragon Lee gets back in the ring and gets a three count.
Winner: Trick Williams – New Champion
NXT Tag Team Championship – 4-way tag team match
Tony D’Angelo and Channing Lorenzo (c) vs. The Creed Brothers (Julius and Brutus Creed) vs. Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo vs. Bronco Nima and Lucien Price
During the game, Tony D’Angelo injured his knee and was evacuated by doctors, but returned a few minutes later.
At the end of the match, Brutus Creed sends Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo out of the ring and then jumps over the top rope onto them! In the ring, Tony D’Angelo and Channing Lorenzo do their Bada Boon Bada Bing against Lucien Price and win by pinfall.
Winners: Tony D’Angelo and Channing Lorenzo
– We see a new vignette about a wrestler arriving soon.
– Backstage, Trick Williams joins Carmelo Hayes with his belt and he congratulates him!
– Ryan Oakes is in the crowd.
NXT Heritage Cup Championship – Heritage Cup Rules
Noam Dar (c) accompanied by Meta-Four vs Butch accompanied by Tyler Bate
In the first round the score between the two wrestlers was 0-0.
In the second round, Noam Dar won his first point by pinfall after his Nova Roller.
This time in the third round it is Butch who wins his first point by pinfall after his bitter end.
The score remains 1:1 until the sixth round.
At the end of the match, Wolfgang and Mark Coffey attack Tyler Bate at ringside. Butch jumps her over the top rope and then goes for a kick to Noam Dar, but Joe Coffey gives him “All Best for the Bells” while the referee is distracted. Noam Dar then pins to win.
Winner: Noam Dar (2-1)
– NXT Deadline 2023 is NXT’s next PLE and will take place on Saturday, December 9th. NXT Halloween Havoc will take place for two weeks, on Tuesday, October 24th and 31st.
NXT Championship – Singles match
Carmelo Hayes (c) versus Ilja Dragunov
At the end of the match, the two wrestlers fight on the ring apron, then Carmelo Hayes delivers a swinging cutter towards the ring against Ilja Dragunov. Hayes brings his opponent back into the ring and then climbs to the top rope, but Dragunov counters him with a clothesline and goes to the top rope in turn.
Ilja Dragunov manages to place his Super H Bomb on Carmelo Hayes and becomes the NXT Champion with the pinfall!
Winner: Ilja Dragunov – New Champion
– The NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament begins this Tuesday and the participants are as follows: Jakara Jackson, Karmen Petrovic, Lola Vice, Jaida Parker, Izzi Dame, Dani Palmer, Kelani Jordan and Arianna Grace.
– Tegan Nox is in the crowd, the wrestler will face the NXT Champion on RAW.
NXT Women’s Championship – Extreme Rules Match
Becky Lynch (c) vs. Tiffany Stratton
At the end of the match, Tiffany Stratton places Becky Lynch on a table outside the ring and then climbs to the top rope to lead Swanton through the table to her. Stratton brings Lynch back into the ring and follows up with another Swanton from the top rope, followed by the pinfall…the champion gets up!
Becky Lynch leaves the ring as the crowd chants “This is Awesome” and Triffany Stratton attempts a moonsault from the top rope. Becky Lynch dodges and hits a manhandle slam outside the ring. Lynch brings her back into the ring and goes for the pin, but Stratton gets up.
Becky Lynch doesn’t believe it and tries a submission, but Tiffany Stratton counters with a roll-up. Lynch gets back up after the fall, but Stratton puts her back down and tries a moonsault off the top rope, but Becky Lynch fights her off and lands her manhandle slam on a pile of chairs to win by pinfall.
Winner: Becky Lynch
– After the match, Becky Lynch cheers and looks at Tegan Nox, who is still in the crowd.
– The show ends with images of Carmelo Hayes apologizing to Trick Williams for the loss, to which he replies that he’s still a champion.
