– Former WWE Champion is introduced and… Jinder Mahal enters the ring. Mahal says it is shameful to be disappointed with his return. He is a former and future WWE Champion. Thousands of wrestlers have fought in the ring, but he is on the list of champions. The only disappointing thing is what America has become. It's disgusting. Where is the unity of the United States? America has never been so divided. Ignorant people. The country was a superpower and now it is a farce. But it will unite us. If you don't believe it, just listen to it. Mahal speaks in his language. Mahal says we finally agree on one thing: booing the American national anthem in Punjabi. Mahal says he is telling the truth only in front of us. Now he will once again say in Punjabi what the world thinks about America. The music of rock begins ! The Rock enters the ring to great applause.
The Rock says Mahal is in trouble tonight. But first he wants to say something, Mahal is right about one thing. Mahal is not the Iron Sheik, the Sheik rests in peace. He knows the Sheik well and everyone loves the Sheik. If the Sheik were here, he would ask him who the idiot in the ring is. Mahal says this is The Rock, the man who magically appears every time the WWE Universe is insulted. The people's champion. The Rock should be ashamed of representing these people. The Rock says he's not ashamed, he's very proud to be the People's Champion. And Rock is very proud to be an American, and Rock is especially proud to say that THE ROCK IS FINALLY BACK IN SAN DIEGO! The Rock says Mahal is talking about why he's being booed, but he's going to tell the truth. Mahal is not booed because of how he looks or how he speaks, but because he is an idiot. The Rock says we know his angry look, but it's crap.
Rock says Mahal is always angry, probably because no one likes Mahal and he's not funny. If Mahal were one of his films, Mahal would probably be Baywatch. Mahal says he never saw him. Rock asks him if it's true. Mahal was about to answer but Rock pulls out his catchphrase saying it's not important. Rock says Mahal dares to say America is a joke. But it's no joke for him or the Americans watching. It's free speech to be able to come here and insult the country, but it's not without consequences for rock. Rock says Mahal is not the modern Maharaja tonight, but the idiot from day one. The crowd chants “Day 1 idiot.” Rock says the audience just gave him an idea, he's going to show what true union is. “Day 1” will be singing on this side of the arena and “douchebag” will be singing on the other side. The crowd begins to sing.
The Rock says it was fun. But he has one last gift for Mahal. Since Mahal likes their national anthem, The Rock will sing him a short excerpt. The Rock begins to sing his version of the anthem and says that Mahal is muscular but has no balls left. Mahal is a classless, toxic idiot, so the Stone has no choice but to kick candy up his ass. Mahal attacks The Rock! Mahal goes to slam him into the corner, but The Rock blocks a punch and gives Mahal a spinebuster! Rock continues his people elbow to Mahal to take him out. The Rock says he loves everyone here tonight, happy new year. The Rock says he's going to dinner in San Diego tonight. But should he sit at a table, at the bar, or at the head of the table? The crowd agrees to the final choice against Roman Reigns. Rock ends with his catchphrase “If You Smell What The Rock Is Cooking!”
