– Tonight is WWE RAW, the Red Show kicks off with a recap video from the first night of the WWE Draft on SmackDown last Friday (full list of trades can be found here). The commentators greet us and Triple H enters the scene.
Triple H welcomes us to RAW and Night 2 of the 2023 WWE Draft. Triple H says WWE rocked the first night and tonight will be no different. It introduces the rules of the draft. Triple H says that due to Roman Reigns’ presence on SmackDown, a new WWE World Heavyweight Champion will be crowned and exclusive to RAW. Triple H adds that there is one Superstar that cannot be traded tonight and that is the beast Brock Lesnar. Earlier today, Lesnar renegotiated his status, granting him the right to be a free agent who can be on RAW or SmackDown as he pleases. NXT Superstars are eligible to enter the draft again tonight. Redemptions are valid on the Monday after backlash. So are we ready for the first round of Night 2?
First Round WWE Draft 2023 Night 2
- RAW selects: Rhea Ripley and Seth Rollins
- SmackDown picks: Austin Theory and Charlotte Flair
Triple H introduces us to the arrival of Paul Heyman. Triple H presents him with the new WWE belt, Heyman congratulates him.
Paul Heyman walks to the ring and picks up the mic to introduce himself. Heyman says the Chief of the Tribe wanted to speak to the WWE Universe to clarify a few things and he will take it upon himself to give his word. Point number 1 is that he, Roman Reigns and Solo stay on SmackDown. It remains the fate of the Usos who failed to regain the Tag Team Titles against Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens… He will speak to the Usos privately about it. He can also assure us that in two weeks time the Chief of the Tribe will be coming to SmackDown in person to sort out his affairs. Also, we have to talk about the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, the title would be even nicer on Roman Reigns. On the way to 1,000 days as a champion, it would be even nicer to have Reigns with three titles! But of course Roman Reigns can’t fight for that title because he’s not in RAW. The worst thing about this story is all the kids behind the scenes who pretend to be men and dare to talk about the Chief of the Tribe. Real clowns… The music of Seth Rollins interrupts Heyman and he enters the ring.
Rollins says he’s happy to see Heyman, Heyman should be happy too. It’s like Christmas for Heyman, Reigns trades to SmackDown and stays on his Monday night Rollins show. That means Reigns no longer has to hide from him and Heyman doesn’t have to use tricks to keep him from a title shot. Rollins says Heyman can focus on the Bloodline and make sure nothing explodes. He has a spoiler for Heyman: At the Night of Champions he will win the WWE World Heavyweight Champion and the whole world will be able to see what a true champion looks like. Heyman takes a call from Roman Reigns. Heyman announces that Rollins has upset the chief. Rollins says Reigns won’t like the sequel either. How long would it take to get Heyman to step on his bald head. Would it take 5 seconds? 4 seconds? 3 seconds? Solo Sikoa’s music begins and he comes to the ring. Heyman says he has a spoiler for Rollins, the Chief of the Tribe has ruled the match between Sikoa and Rollins is official for tonight ! Rollins confirms he accepts.
– Back from the break, in a previous video, Cody Rhodes pulls into the parking lot. Adam Pearce stops him and says it’s a big night, he wishes he hadn’t seen chaos.
Tag Team Match – No Title
Bayley and Dakota Kai versus Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez
At the end of the fight, Bayley takes the mark off Kai’s back, Morgan oblivions Kai and goes to cover for her, but Bayley surprises Morgan with a quick count for the three.
Winners: Bayley and Dakota Kai
– Back, in a video earlier today, Adam Pearce stops Brock Lesnar. Pearce says he wants to keep the peace if possible, it’s a great night. Lesnar wishes him luck with his plan.
– We present a video about the rivalry between Lesnar and Cody.
– Booker T and Queen Sharmell take the stage for the WWE draft sequel.
Second Round WWE Draft 2023 Night 2
- RAW Selections: Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn and Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Damian Priest and Dominik Mysterio)
- SmackDown Selections: The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) and LWO (Santos Escobar, Joaquin Wilde, Cruz Del Toro, Zelina Vega and Rey Mysterio)
– Ricochet and Strowman enter the ring. Alpha Academy comes back to the ring.
Tag Team Match
Ricochet and Braun Strowman against Alpha Academy (Otis and Chad Gable) accompanied by Maxxine Dupri
At the end of the fight, Strowman powerslams Otis. Ricochet takes the tag and climbs on Strowman’s shoulders to Swenton Bomb Otis for the three count.
Winners: Ricochet and Braun Strowman
– Back we present a video about the rivalry between Bad Bunny and Damian Priest.
– Shawn Michaels and Adam Pearce take the stage for upcoming draft announcements, but the music from Brock Lesnar Begin ! Pearce asks him to calm down, but Lesnar continues on his way to the ring. Lesnar asks what it’s like for the Texas public to face the only real cowboy in the state. Pearce decides to send security to the ring. Pearce says they have to turn in the WWE draft, Lesnar has to go, or security will help him. Lesnar says it needs more men than that. Pearce asks for more security guards. Cody Rhodes music begins. Cody comes in from the other side and hits Lesnar! Security arrives to stop Cody, Lesnar leaves with a laugh as Security needs to contain Cody.
– Back, Shawn Michaels restarts his draft announcements.
Third Round WWE Draft 2023 Night 2
- RAW selects: Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez and Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston
- SmackDown Choices: Asuka and Brawling Brutes (Ridge Holland, Butch & Sheamus)
– Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn chatting behind the scenes, but Matt Riddle joins them. Riddle says it was a great week with the SmackDown win and they all traded to RAW. They’ll be able to spend the whole evening together and tonight he’s gonna beat Jimmy Uso. Riddle goes to the ring for his match, Owens asks if they can go to SmackDown.

During the fight, Owens and Zayn play a wrong chair that Jey shot ringside, the referee throws Jey backstage.
At the end of the fight, Jimmy tries to remove the padding from a corner, Zayn steps onto the apron to distract the ref, Owens punches Jimmy. Riddle takes the opportunity to hit Jimmy with a Running Knee, making him his Floating Bro until three.
Winner: Matt Riddle
– Back, behind the scenes, Paul Heyman Solo motivates Sikoa for his match by saying that his tribal chief wants to see him win. Jey Uso walks in and says he has a quick question, why wasn’t Solo ringside tonight? Heyman says Solo has to deal with a clown annihilation so he needs to stay focused. Heyman invites Jey to enjoy the lodge, they will leave.
– Eric Bischoff and Rob Van Dam appear for the remainder of the draft.
Fourth Round WWE Draft 2023 Night 2
- RAW selects: Trish Stratus and Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler
- SmackDown selects: Karrion Kross (with Scarlett) and LA Knight
– The Miz is in the ring too sound MizTV. Miz greets us. Miz says the draft is crazy about RAW with Cody Rhodes, the Intercontinental title goes to RAW, champion Rhea Ripley and Seth Rollins and the biggest The Miz. But tonight his guest is someone traded to RAW for the first time in his career, Shinsuke Nakamura. Miz welcomes Nakamura to RAW. Miz says Nakamura has achieved a lot in WWE and now he has a chance to become the first WWE World Heavyweight Champion. So does he think he has a chance? Nakamura replies yes in Japanese. Miz says that’s okay, but Triple H was clearly talking about him – The Miz – being the first champion. Twice Grand Slam, the biggest star, he’s the definition of a hard worker. Nakamura could be a good number two to do a MizKnakamura. It’s different with RAW, Nakamura needs someone to protect him. What does he think? Nakamura says Miz has more experience than him, however [Nakamura l’insulte en japonais]. Miz says it’s very positive, he likes it. Both sing in Japanese. Miz asks for the translation. Nakamura says it means “the guy with the little balls”. Miz goes to punch him, but Nakamura dodges the punch and kicks him. Nakamura continues with his Kinshasa.

At the end of the fight, Omos choke slammed Alanis in less than a minute for a count of three.

Fifth Round WWE Draft 2023 Night 2
- RAW Selections: Braun Strowman & Ricochet and Bronson Reed
- SmackDown Selections: Shotzi and Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince and Kit Wilson)
– THE Judgment Day comes in the ring. Damian Priest is asking everyone to stand up for Judgment Day everyone staying on RAW together. Note the first exchange with Rhea Ripley. Ripley asks if there was really any doubt? Mom is always upstairs. Judgment Day airs Monday night RAW. And on Saturday at Backlash, Zelina Vega will regret what happened on SmackDown as she proves why she is WWE’s most dominant champion. Finn Balor says he has bad news for Bad Bunny because Priest will break him into pieces leaving some across Puerto Rico. Damian Priest says to watch your words (Priest speaks in Spanish). Priest says Bunny is a big music star, but not in the ring. At Backlash, in Bad Bunny’s house, he will receive his punishment. Dominik starts to talk, but he is booed too loudly. Dominik says he can’t wait for Backlash to continue their dominance. And not to mention their upcoming dominance against the LWO, which will be their last night to humiliate his father with his friends. Rey Mysterio’s music starts and he arrives with the LWO. Rey says nobody’s hiding, they were picked by SmackDown, that’s how the draft works. Rey says he’s glad he’s not in the same division as Dominik because the WrestleMania belt shots were nothing compared to what he would have suffered. He can’t wait to see Zelina Vega become champion and Bad Bunny tear everyone up on her way to Backlash. But before the Last Judgment, the LWO will be crushed.

Mixed Tag Team Match
Damian Priest, Dominik Mysterio and Rhea Ripley joined by Finn Balor against Rey Mysterio, Santos Escobar and Zelina Vega
At the end of the fight, Ripley goes to attack Rey, but Vega pushes Ripley back with a 619. Priest charges at Rey, but Rey dodges him and he corners him. Rey pushes Priest back on the second rope and launches into 619, but Dominik pulls on Rey’s leg to knock him down. Escobar launches a suicide jump at Dominik, but Ripley parries it with a drop kick. Priest uses the opportunity to superkick Rey. Priest takes it as a finisher but Rey pushes him back on the second rope and starts in 619 but Balor gets the hit! Priest takes the opportunity to make his South of the Sky for the count of three on Rey.
Winner: Judgment Day
– Behind the scenes, Cathy teams up with Cody Rhodes to find out his reaction to Brock Lesnar. Cody says Lesnar has been on his mind since the night after WrestleMania. And now Lesnar is trading his free agent status to do as he pleases. But on Saturday at Backlash, Lesnar won’t be able to get what he wants. Tonight we found out that Lesnar is human. Lesnar doesn’t have to win the game, he has to win. Because if he doesn’t win, this whole idea of ending the story can’t live. And he will come back behind everyone.
– Backstage, Byron Saxton asks Bianca Belair about her reaction to her deal on SmackDown. Belair says it’s not important, she just wants to show fans her skills. She only wants to defend her title against Iyo Sky at Backlash. Damage CTRL comes. Bayley asks why Saxton doesn’t interview future champions. Sky will be able to sadden Belair on SmackDown. Belair says Sky makes her sad. From Sky’s debut she’s been happy to see what Sky can do, but from the start Sky is held back by Bayley and Kai. She hopes Sky can shine thanks to Backlash. Sky answers him in Japanese.
– JBL and Teddy Long arrive for the rest of the draft.
Sixth Round WWE Draft 2023 Night 2
- RAW selects: Alpha Academy (Otis & Chad Gable) and Katana Chance & Kayden Carter
- SmackDown picks: Rick Boogs and Cameron Grimes
– In the video, Xavier Woods says that the new day will bring light in RAW.
– Coming back, the commentators present the map of WWE Backlash, which will take place this Saturday.

At the end of the fight, Jimmy and Jey come in the ring to attack Seth. The referee stops the game.
Winner: Seth Rollins by disqualification
– After the fight, Owens, Zayn and Riddle arrive to fight with the Bloodline. The show ends like this.
