Seth Rollins opened WWE RAW on January 22, 2024 to take stock of his future.
In fact, we learned last week that Seth Rollins suffered a knee injury following his fight against Jinder Mahal for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Specifically, it is a tear in the inner ligament and a partial tear in the meniscus.
It was impossible to know exactly what the future held for Seth Rollins. A loss of the championship? An absence for WrestleMania 40? Or can just a few weeks of rest help him get fit again?
Seth finally spoke at the opening of RAW on January 22nd and stated that he was indeed injured, confirming his two ligament injuries. Rollins said doctors are talking about a three- to four-month recovery and surgery, but if he had his way, he would be back the following week to continue with the Stomps. Rollins was interrupted by Gunther during his announcement, but Rollins quickly interrupted him and said he wasn't finished yet.
Rollins added that despite the doctor's announcement, it wasn't important to him. He also doesn't care how hard he has to work during his recovery. He will push his knee to the limit and take this title with him to WrestleMania ! And he will do everything in his power to emerge from WrestleMania as World Heavyweight Champion!
The statement confirms that Seth Rollins will not miss WrestleMania 40 and will have to take some time off until WrestleMania to have his big match at the biggest show of the year.
We'll have to wait for the next updates to know exactly whether Seth Rollins needs to stay away from the ring until WrestleMania or not.
