WWE SmackDown Results for December 22, 2023 – Catch-Newz

WWE SmackDown Green Bay, Wisconsin

The commentators are Michael Cole, Kevin Patrick and Corey Graves.

– Tonight is WWE SmackDown, the blue show begins with footage of what happened last week with the return of AJ Styles. The commentators greet us, then AJ Styles comes in. He tells us that Randy Orton wants Roman Reigns at the Royal Rumble, LA Knight wants Reigns too. AJ Styles doesn't care about Randy Orton and LA Knight, he wants Roman Reigns at the Royal Rumble.

LA Knight's music interrupts him and the wrestler arrives. LA Knight tells AJ Styles that after what happened with Crown Jewel, AJ Styles can have Roman Reigns behind him. AJ Styles tells LA Knight that Knight stepped on his body to win the tag team match with John Cena and the match against Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel.

When it's Randy Orton's turn, he says that Roman Reigns and the Bloodline kicked him out of the ring for 18 months. He likes being home, but he misses his second home, that ring. Nick Aldis comes and announces that in two weeks AJ Styles, LA Knight and Randy Orton will compete in a triple threat match at SmackDown New Year's Revolution, with the winner facing Roman Reigns at the Royal Rumble.

Holiday Havoc 8-Women Tag Team Match

Bianca Belair, Michin, Shotzi and Zelina Vega vs Damage CTRL (Asuka, Bayley, IYO SKY & Kairi Sane)

At the end of the match, Asuka and Kairi Sane open a box at ringside and Isla Dawn comes out while Alba Fyre comes out of another box behind them. Dawn and Fyre then attack Asuka and Kairi Sane. In the ring, Bianca Belair manages to KOD Bayley, but Iyo Sky performs a moonsault on Belair. Michin comes in and performs an Eat Defeat on Sky, followed by a senton off the top rope and through a table to win by pinfall.

Winners: Bianca Belair, Michin, Shotzi and Zelina Vega

– Backstage, Roman Reigns asks Paul Heyman who the General Manager of SmackDown is. Heyman tells him it's Nick Aldis. Reigns asks him to bring him back.

NXT North American Championship – Singles Match

Dragon Lee (c) vs. Butch

At the end of the fight, Butch prepares to bring Dragon Lee to his bitter end, but Dragon Lee tasks him with a destroyer! Lee continues his Operation Dragon and wins by pinfall.

Winner: Dragon Lee

– After the fight, the two wrestlers shake hands.

– Backstage, Nick Aldis joins Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman. Reigns asks Heyman to leave them both. The Tribal Chief reviews the General Manager's recent decisions (Triple Threat, Solo Sikoa vs. AJ Styles) and then tells him that they are good ideas but that he should be warned before organizing all of this. Everything has to go through him, Adam Pearce understood that well.

Nick Aldis replies that he is a civil servant and has no feelings. As for Solo Sikoa, he took care of John Cena like Roman Reigns never took care of him. He can't wait to see the AJ Styles vs. Solo Sikoa match, the Triple Threat Match and the Royal Rumble match.

United States Title Challenger Tournament Semifinals – Singles Match

Kevin Owens vs. Carmelo Hayes

At the end of the match, Kevin Owens dodges Carmelo Hayes' Nothing But Net and then hits a pop up powerbomb followed by the pinfall. Hayes breaks free and Owens climbs to the top rope to give him a swanton via pinfall and then a stunner for the win.

Winner: Kevin Owens – meets the winner of Santos Escobar against Bobby Lashley in the final

– After the match, Kevin Owens picks up Carmelo Hayes and shakes his hand before leaving the ring.

– Backstage, Michin, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows join AJ Styles. Karl Anderson says they hadn't heard from Styles and didn't expect to see him again. AJ Styles finally leaves.

– A new video of Karrion Kross and Scarlett airs where for a split second we can see three silhouettes that appear to be the same PDO.

United States Title Challenger Tournament Semifinals – Singles Match

Bobby Lashley accompanied by the Street Profits against Santos Escobar

At the end of the match, the Street Profits were attacked at ringside by two masked men, while Sant Escobar was able to achieve victory thanks to a roll-up.

Winner: Santos Escobar – meets Kevin Owens in the final

– After the match both men take off their masks and it's… Humberto Carrillo and Angel Garza !

– Backstage, Butch is being interviewed, but Pretty Deadly comes to sing. Butch attacks them and the officers come to separate them. Nick Aldis challenges Butch to find a partner who can take on Pretty Deadly at SmackDown New Year's Revolution.

– In two weeks on SmackDown: Finals of the tournament for a challenger to Logan Paul between Kevin Owens and Santos Escobar / Iyo Sky will defend his belt against Michin / AJ Styles, Randy Orton and LA Knight will compete, the winner will do it in be able to challenge Roman Reigns at the Royal Rumble.

Single game

AJ Styles vs. Solo Sikoa

At the end of the match, AJ Styles readies for his Phenomonal Forearm, but Solo Sikoa counters it and then attempts a Samoan Spike. Styles avoids it and hits a roll-up, but Solo Sikoa gets up. AJ Styles sets up his Styles Clash, but Solo Sikoa counters it. Styles stands on the ring apron and manages to hit the Phenomenal Forearm on Solo Sikoa, who then rolls to the outside of the ring… Roman Reigns comes out and attacks AJ Styles! The referee ends the game.

Winner: AJ Styles by disqualification

– After the match, Roman Reigns continues to attack AJ Styles with the help of Solo Sikoa…Randy Orton arrives but is beaten thanks to the arrival of Jimmy Uso of the Bloodline. LA Knight takes his turn and scares away the bloodline.

Only AJ Styles, Randy Orton and LA Knight remain in the ring… and a fight ensues! The show ends like this.
