The 20-year-old artist’s reemergence came this Monday, February 13, and she did so through her Instagram Stories to assert her voice in light of recent events in the Dominican Republic, her home country.
Since last weekend is the Case of Donelly Martineza teenager who, according to local media, would have been killed by police during the Santiago Carnival.
The death of the 12-year-old boy came as a shock to most Dominicans. Some are calling for there to be no more deaths at the hands of the police.
Yailin has joined the protest voices: “Dismayed by everything that is happening in my country”the rapper wrote alongside a picture showing the deceased young man.
” We demand justice for this angel and a lot of strength for her family,” she added, given the tragic events that have pulled her out of the silence in recent days.
Yailin released this news in response to the alleged murder of young Donelly Martínez, who died in the Dominican Republic.
