Yes Morant & Draymond Green trade shots over a possible matchup between Grizzlies and Warriors

Ja Morant and Draymond Green went back and forth on Twitter regarding a possible matchup between the Grizzlies and Warriors next season.

Ja Morant and Draymond Green traded shots on Twitter all weekend, talking about a possible Christmas Day matchup between the Memphis Grizzlies and the Golden State Warriors. The back-and-forth was sparked when Klay Thompson called out to Jaren Jackson Jr. on a tweet about the Warriors during a press conference after winning the NBA Finals.

“There’s this one player in the Grizzlies who tweeted ‘strength in numbers’ after they beat us in the regular season and that pissed me off,” Thompson said, referring to a tweet by Jaren Jackson Jr “I can’t wait to retweet that thing.” Damn bum…”

The incident was circulated on Twitter as Morant defended Jackson by saying the Grizzlies are taking free “real estate” in the minds of the Warriors.

“We traded this property in @JaMorant, property value was higher in Boston,” Green responded to Morant’s statement.

From there, one fan suggested that a Christmas Day matchup between the Grizzlies and Warriors was “all but guaranteed at this point.”

‘No, in da M. put them in the trenches,’ Morant said to the fan.

Green corrected him: “The champions are playing at home, young! Christmas Day…LJ.”

“Then I’ll come to you. Tell the book shit. I’m on your block,” Morant fired back.

The NBA typically doesn’t release its regular season schedule until much later in the offseason. Christmas Day games often feature an NBA Finals rematch where the Warriors would face the Celtics, but that’s not always the case.
