You can also see Yessenia performing at “private speaking engagements” where she sings and earns a sum that helps her survive in Uncle Sam’s country: “I charge $250 an hour for speaking engagements.”
Villanueva said he receives hefty tips during his speaking engagements: “With tips, I get $150 more, or $200. About $500 on average, plus tip, about $600 for two hours.”

In April 2023, Yessenia Villanueva contacted the program “Magaly TV: La Firme” and announced that she is not doing well in the US because she cannot get a permanent job.
“I’ve been contemplating returning because, as you know, Magaly, I entered here (the United States) illegally and am awaiting my trial in May to find out what they’re telling me.” As I said before, sometimes the American dream is not what you think it is, and that’s too much because there’s no work,” he added.
