The teen comedy is a family adventure for Hollywood A-star Adam Sandler.
It not only stars him and his wife Jackie, but also his two daughters: 14-year-old daughter Sunny stars in the lead role and his 17-year-old daughter Sadie plays the supporting role.
The funny Netflix film is about one of his daughters who catches her best friend kissing her high school crush.
Revenge and growing pains follow amidst a slew of well-timed jokes.

The official Netflix synopsis reads: “Lifelong best friends Stacy (Sunny Sandler) and Lydia (Samantha Lorraine) have long dreamed of an epic bat mitzvah.”
“But when popular boy Andy Goldfarb (Dylan Hoffman) and the Hebrew school drama get between them, their perfect plans go comically wrong.”
Sunny stars as a teenage girl struggling to cope with her love life.
She walked in when she was in love by kissing her best friend Lydia and it tears her world apart.
This leads to her telling her pal that they are no longer friends, which Stacy later regrets.
Every once in a while, Sadie shows up to relax weirdly when she tells her dad that she’s tried alcohol but he needn’t worry because she didn’t like the alcohol.

Based on the book of the same name by Fiona Rosenbloom, You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah will be directed by Sammi Cohen and produced by Sandler’s Happy Madison Productions and Alloy Entertainment.
The film launches on Netflix on August 25.
