From 2005 to 2008, television viewers were able to discover the eventful history of the Desrochers and Belzile families over 100 years and six generations in the series Nosétés.
In this case, we found an all-star cast led by Sophie Prégent, Jean-François Pichette, Karyne Lemieux, Fanny Mallette, and many others.
The summary was as follows: Flying through the 20th century, we tell the story of two families – the Desrochers, wealthy merchants from Montreal, and the Belziles, humble farmers from Cacouna on the banks of the Saint Lawrence River – whose fates are closely linked its be linked for 100 years. The story revolves around a crucial moment: the summer holidays of bourgeois society. The entire series takes place in summer and tells of the different stays of a bourgeois family in Cap-sur-Mer. A series that reveals our collective past and, above all, sheds light on our present.
Now nostalgics can dive back into the series, available again on the Amazon Prime Video platform.
The four seasons are here. The English subtitled version entitled “Summers of our Lives” is also available.
In recent years, Quebec producers, like Duo Productions here, have tended to make deals with platforms to release popular Quebec series. This was the case with Caleb’s Daughters on Netflix.
